Business as usual?

Business is important. But as a matter in fact urban culture creates a problem of urban housing. They are flushing.
After shopping periods they are dead as stone. Zombie city centers are results of depopulation. This effect is more and more sesn in urban center suroundings.

So some investors tries to build up a a new shopping center at corner Lundluecke/Adelbylund/An der Johannismuehle/Kappelner Str.

In fact they didn`t own the ground to build...



... after a short time ... the decision was made to build up flats... a good decision!

Sun goes up every morning at University campus.



University campus is still growing as seen on left side.

During winter it's possible to see how trees will become green in spring time - or even not.

This one died...



.. and that one has gone: Destroyed, stolen or in an other way gone



However, no one takes care of trees at University campus. Neither adminstration of Flensburg University and administration of Flensburg University of Applied Sciences nore city administration or adminstration of both university owning federal state Schleswig-Holstein in Kiel.

In every case it's a splend of taxes! Nature has still no economic value...

Flensburg area is caracterised by the Flensburg Fjord which results of the glacial period lasted about 117.000 to 17.400 years before.

However, even if it is a northern German city - or a southern Danish city... - it is not of a flat ground profile. Riding by bike or looking at Lautrupsbach (Lautrups creek or Lautrups beck) remains to past times.



In 2008 was a new bridge built up over Lautrupsbach.

It is still a monument of traffic in urban structures - 'Osttangente'.

We have learned to live with 'Osttangente'. Even it is still a noisy and landscape hijacking motorway.

It is a staging area for chrismas trees after Dec 27 and snowe cute lookinking way to walk for some hours...
